We never dreamed of opening a place like Ananda Villa.
We simply wanted to create the kind of home where we love to live, surrounded by nature, inspired by our travels and filled with good energies, creativity, good friends and meaningful connections.
After many years living and travelling across Asia, we choose the Sicilian countryside as the place to slow down and built a life that reflects who we are.
Today we are happy to share this little corner of the world with guests who appreciate simplicity, authenticity and the beauty of every moments.
Why Ananda?
The name Ananda comes from Sanskrit and means “bliss”, “Inner joy” or “deep happiness”, a state of peace that arises from living simply and being fully present.

Our Place
Ananda Villa is our home in the heart of the Sicilian countryside, surrounded by olive trees, herbs and wide open skies and a breathtaking view over the Iblei Mountains

Our story
What was meant to be a short holiday in Sicily, became a life changing decision. After many years living in Cambodia, we chose to slow down even more and create a new life inspired by nature, creativity and meaningful connections.
Valentina, an Italian architect from Rome, and Steve, an English saxophonist from Oxford, share a passion for travel, culture and authentic living.
Today we welcome guests from all over the world into our Sicilian world - a place shaped by simplicity, warmth, nature and design.
